Description

This beautiful work was made by the young Umberto Milani (1912-1969) and it might recall the impressionistic technique by Medardo Rosso. Actually, the modelling obtained with the juxtaposition of blocks in a strict volumetric construction is opposite to a superficial conception (Pica A., p. 10) and will lead the sculptor to choose the pure abstract subjects that will characterize his successive production.
