Oil on canvas. Neapolitan school. The scene focuses on a particular moment of the battle, represented on the left background as a cloud of dust that cover men fighting in a barren mountain landscape; the right side is occupied by the drama of some soldiers running away while targeted: close up we can see the body of a soldier and of his horse next to which lie a drum and an abandonated flag. The painting is characterized by dark and soft colors and figures with blurry profiles. Alredy restored and presented with a stylish frame.
