Oil on canvas. French school. There is a writing on the back of the frame "Fait en 1860, à l' âge de 38 ans" which states the date of the painting and the age of the subject portrayed, a man of the French bourgeoisie, in a dignified pose with his walking stick and the gold chain of his watch in plain sight. The painting was restored and reframed in 1997 (card of restoration with pictures attached). It is displayed in a beautiful coeval gilded wooden frame.
