Oil painting on canvas. Dutch school. The scene offers a glimpse of a port on the river, under the citadel with its fortress, on the rock above. It is animated by numerous figures, on the long pier in the foreground, on the various boats that ply the river. Of Flemish taste, it can be traced back to the Dutch area also due to the presence of the characteristic windmill in the background on the left. Restored and relined, it is presented in a re-adapted antique frame.
