Description

Bronze sculpture depicting the allegory of luck. The Goddess rests with one foot on a wheel wrapped in a climbing plant and holds in her right hand a cornucopia, symbol of abundance and fertility. The circular base in black marble has a central bronze band where scenes with cherubs appear in relief. Signature of the author incussa.

Vittorio Fulconis born in Mustapha (Algeria) on January 18, 1851 and died in Oran on September 3, 1913, is a French sculptor, painter and illustrator. Son and pupil of the sculptor Louis Guillaume Fulconis (1818-1873).
