Aldo Borgonzoni (Medicine, 1913 - 2004) was an Italian painter, one of the most significant of Italian iconic art. Borgonzoni graduated from the Bologna School of Art in 1936 and, at the end of the decade, embarked on forms of expressionism consonant with the Roman school of Corrente. In 1942 he participated in the Bergamo Prize, together with Renato Guttuso, Bruno Cassinari, Ennio Morlotti, Giuseppe Santomaso and Armando Pizzinato. During the years of the Second World War, the artist, active in the Resistance, painted a cycle of works on the horrors of war and made friends with the painter Virgilio Guidi and the sculptor Academic of Italy Domenico Rambelli.n
