Description
Fifth edition of this guide for tourists visiting Brussels, accompanied, as indicated on the title page, "by a new plan of Brussels and the suburbs, an engraving and two plans of the fields of battle: one of Waterloo (1815) and Sedan (1870)". The city map (36 x 41.5 cm) is colourful. It is interesting that the sites of the battles near the city, the historic Waterloo and the more recent Sedan, represented a tourist attraction: the means to reach the battlefields and the hotels in the villages are indicated, a description of the events is provided and a map of the area.
