Nella storia del movimento psicoanalitico l'incontro tra Sigmund Freud e Ludwig Binswanger è andato assumendo un carattere del tutto originale. Si tratta dell'incontro di due personalità che, malgrado le divergenze intellettuali che progressivamente hanno allontanato il più giovane psichiatra svizzero dal maestro, hanno saputo affermare il primato della quotidianità vissuta rispetto al piano della teoria. Il trentennale carteggio tra Freud e Binswanger, per la prima volta in traduzione integrale in lingua italiana, corredato di un ricco apparato di note, è la testimonianza più viva di una relazione soprattutto amichevole, segnata dalla condivisione. Tra i documenti dall'indiscutibile valore storiografico contenuti nella presente edizione, la vita vissuta si declina tanto nella modalità dell'esperienza clinica e del confronto teorico quanto nella modalità delle problematiche personali che hanno accomunato sotto un unico destino le biografie di entrambi gli autori. Sullo sfondo, le controverse dinamiche del nascente movimento psicoanalitico contribuiscono ad arricchire il quadro tematico di questo affascinante epistolario, che si costituisce come un momento fondamentale della riflessione storiografico-epistemologica sulla psicoanalisi e la psichiatria del primo Novecento.

After 1967, unlike the socialists and republicans, Italian communists adopted a totally hostile attitude towards Zionism and Israel which was almost overtly antisemitic. This attitude, in accord with the Soviet Union's ideological stance, was expressed mainly in the newspaper "L'Unita." Distinguishes within the Italian communist ranks between a mainstream trend which condemned Zionism and Israeli policies as imperialistic (e.g. Enrico Berlinguer) and a more radical trend (e.g. Luciana Castellina) which not only called for the destruction of Israel, but totally negated the Jews' right to emancipation (which developed in the 19th century either in the form of Zionism or Italian emancipation due to the Risorgimento movement). Traces the concept of "emancipation through assimilation" to early Marxism and to Marx's self-hatred, and to the tensions between the Bund and the communist party in Russia at the beginning of the 20th century.

Round Lombard table from the Empire period, early 19th century. Resting on a base, four turned columns support the round top with two small drawers in the band, veneered in burl and walnut legs with brass-plated frames.

Table lamp with a gilded bronze base chiseled with leaf motifs from which four branches branch off, ending with grape vines made of coloured glass drops, with glass flowers and gilded sheet metal leaves on the stem.

Lombardy, Late XVIII Century

Neoclassical cabinet of Lombard production, supported by truncated pyramidal legs, on the front it has two folding doors (modified), the top can also be opened, while inside there is a top with a hole. In walnut, it is decorated with olive threads and maple inlays, like the rosette on the front and on the top.
