Description

An elegant Regency chest of drawers, serpentine front. Three drawers and wide skirt. Bipartite and quadripartite rosewood reserves and borders. Embellished with friezes and gilded bronze handle, partly replaced. Shaped marble top. Manufactured in France, around 1720.

The item shows signs of wear due to age. Any damage or loss is displayed as completely as possible in the pictures. It may require restoration and polishing.

The Regency style, named for the regency (1811-1820) of Prince George of Wales, later crowned as George IV, King of England (1820-1830).
