Description
A mantel clock, bronze with porcelain inserts painted with flower compositions and winged cherubs. Wide basement with embossed vegetable ornaments. A bronze crown of roses contains the clock's face made of glazed metal with Roman numbers. The clock is surmounted by a group of cherubs made of gilded bronze, bulin treated. The scene depicts the period of the grape harvest. Mechanism branded Japy Freres & C.ie Grand Medaille d'Honneur. Manufactured in France, mid 19th century.
Product Condition:
Good condition. Wear consistent with age and use. Any damage or loss is displayed as completely as possible in the pictures. Revised in June 2018. A ceramic is restored.
