Oil on cardboard. Signed in the lower left corner. On the back, stamp of the artist's atelier in Turin in the upper left corner. Alberto Rossi was born and studied in Turin. He was a good drawer and colorist who depicted different subjects, portraits, genre paintings, landscapes and especially Oriental subjects due to his frequent trips in the Middle East - Egypt, Syria, Greece, Palestine, Turkey - where he took part to successful exhibitions. His Italian landscapes production is characteristic of his early years before the trips abroad. In that period, he used to depict glimpses and landscapes of Val D'Aosta, like this one. Presented in coeval frame. 19th century.
