Embossed and chased silver inkwell decorated with leafy scrolls and small flowers. The front is embellished with the face of a fantastical animal in the center and a pair of equine heads at the corners. The central body features a female figure. Silver hallmarks are engraved on the edge of the base. 326 grams.

Under the case is a bronze label: "Charmeuse d'Oiseaux L. et F. Moreau Mèd. d'Or." A pair of gilded antimony vases on marble bases complete the triptych.
