Dedicated to Commendatore Ferdinando Martini, Member of Parliament and Secretary General of the Ministry of Public Education. The introduction, addressed to teachers, states: "When children begin school, they already know a dialect that, both in form and in tone, partly agrees with the language and partly differs from it; it will suffice to make them aware of these differences and the easiest and most practical way to eliminate them [...]."
