The volume is housed in a slipcase with titles and concentric gilt borders on the top cover; silk-covered bottom cover; silk interior; extraction ribbon present; minor abrasions on the corners. Description
Edition edited by Roberto Peliti. Facsimile reproduction of the first edition of the Divine Comedy in a very small format (twenty-fourth), printed in Venice in 1516 by Alessandro Paganini. The copies are numbered; ours is number 678. Illustrated with four plates (one of which is a double-page spread) at the end of the volume, created by the famous Venetian cartographer and engraver Giovanni Andrea Vavassore.
