France, Early XX Century

Empire-style mahogany secretaire. Front features four drawers surmounted by a drop-leaf door concealing an internal cabinet with three drawers, an open compartment with a mirror, and three ebonized columns. Uprights consist of truncated pyramidal columns with chiseled and gilded bronze capitals and bases, as do the escutcheons, handles, and decorations on the under-top band. Turned legs and beech interior. France, early 20th century.

Italy, Early XX Century

A late Baroque chest of drawers veneered in walnut burl, violet wood, and mahogany, with maple trim and inlays. Curved front and sides, three drawers, the first of which is in the lower section, and a second and third drawer with double locks in the handles. Fir interior. Bronze handles and escutcheons. Italy, early 20th century.

French Commode

Louis XVI-style cupboard from the early 20th century. Four truncated pyramid legs support a curved front with a single door on olive hinges, and a rare purple breccia top. The cabinet is veneered in mahogany with marquetry inserts made from small, opposing squares of blond mahogany. The entire surface is enriched with finely chased and gilded bronzes. The legs feature small floral festoons, uprights with gilded bronze asparagus inserted into the tapers, cornices in the inserts, and leafy scrolls in the band below the top are also gilded bronze. At the center, a lion's head between two oak and ivy branches holds a drape in its mouth, from which hangs a myrtle branch that decorates the central medallion depicting a bacchanal with fauns.

Corner etagere

Small Regency-style corner etagere made in the early 1900s. Three lightweight saber-shaped uprights are connected by two shelves, one with a drawer, and an upper shelf with compartments for holding toiletry items. Made of mahogany with brass knobs.

A two-drawer chest of drawers in the Baroque style from the mid-20th century. The walnut frame sits on tall legs, joined by a shaped apron and ending with goat feet. Two drawers on the front are veneered in walnut with filleting.

Neoclassical chest of drawers. The front of the two drawers is richly carved with grape vines, the sides are turned, and the feet are carved in a truncated cone shape. The handles are wrought bronze, the top is white marble. Italy, 20th century.

Clock made in the 20th century in the Queen Anne style. The case features an open central body that allows the pendulum and weights to be seen. The clockwork body is constructed in a temple-like fashion with lateral columns. The entire surface is inlaid with floral motifs made of various woods. The brass and aluminum clock face is partially painted. The movement requires servicing.

Automatic Upright Piano

Upright piano from the early 1900s. Marked "Kastner Autopiano Leipzig". The cabinet is completely ebonized and features a cast iron main frame with Bakelite keys, as was common at the time. In need of overhaul.

Metal Covered Case

A late 19th-century fir chest. Covered in embossed sheet metal and exposed poplar bands, it features metal handles and locks. The interior is lined with blue damask fabric. An excellent functional and decorative object for a modern living room.
