Around the World Collection Plate 2001: Fuji-san

Fifth plate in the Around the World series, depicting "Fuji-san", the holy mountain Fuji-san, also called Mount Fuji, in Japan. Drawing by artist Swen Vestergaard. Bing & Grøndahl introduced the Around the World collectible series in 1997. The series comprises a total of six plates with motifs taken from some of the most beautiful and well-known places in the world. White porcelain plate with decorations in various shades of blue. Each plate was produced in limited quantities only and exclusively in the year shown on the plate itself and production ended at the end of the year with the destruction of the original shape which made it impossible to reproduce. As a guarantee of authenticity, the plate bears the Bing & Grøndahl trademark with the three towers, inspired by the coat of arms of the city of Copenhagen, and the initials of the painter who created the unique illustration of the plate. The plate measures 18 cm in diameter and on the back has the two holes made by Bing & Grøndahl itself during production to allow it to be hung.

This plate from the Around the World series depicts the "Opera", the famous building in the gulf of Sydney, Australia. Design by the artist Swen Vestergaard. Bing & Grøndahl introduced the Around the World collector's series in 1997. The motifs on these plates come from the animal world every year with the aim of underlining the attachment that binds a mother to her cubs. White porcelain plate with decorations in various shades of blue. Each plate was produced in limited quantities only and exclusively in the year shown on the plate itself and production ended at the end of the year with the destruction of the original mold which made it impossible to reproduce. To guarantee authenticity, the plate bears the Royal Copenhagen mark with the three overlapping wavy lines, which represent the three sea straits of Denmark: Øresund, the Great Belt and the Little Belt. The plate measures 20 cm. in diameter and on the back it has the two holes made by Royal Copenhagen itself during production to be able to hang it.

Winter Boys in Greenland

Royal Copenhagen Christmas plate 2005 complete with box, booklet and certificate missing; it is the eighth of the series and is entitled "Winter Boys in Greenland" drawing by Ingrid Jensen. Oval majolica tray with shaped edge and polychrome Raphaelesque decoration with foliage and fantastic animals. Two dragons facing each other frame the Florentine lily, taking up a motif that is also quite well known in Deruta majolica. The blue mark on the back of the plate traces it back to the Bonato di Angarano manufacture (Archive of ceramic marks letter B).
