Kutani plate decorated with polychrome enamels within scrolls with various representations. The upper one with a scene of literati intent on writing and reading a scroll in beautiful writing, the others with naturalistic scenes, dragons and Kirin highlighted in gold, on a red background with stylized racemes. Brand in red under the base. Japan Meiji period circa 1910.

China Chongzhen Period 1628-1644

Small Chinese polylobed ko sometsuke saucer with triangular plan, decorated in blue underneath with a peach, a pomegranate, a lemon "Citrus medica" also known as Buddha's hand and an ideogram symbol of longevity. Three bats decorate its brim.
