Loose binding. Browned edges, sprayed, with dust spots. Collational formula: 1-45¹²¯⁶ (odd issues¹² , even issues⁶), 46². Well preserved leaves with scattered foxing; ownership note on the first flyleaf, pencil price on the front pastedown; nicks on the lower corners of the leaves in the second issue. From the introduction by the author Claude de Saint-André: "This work on the sixth age would certainly be of little interest if I did not show my readers its connection and its relations with the other ages of the Church and with the entire Apocalypse". This is the starting point for a reading of history as the theater of a war between Catholic orthodoxy and the hosts of Satan who, after the Lutheran Reformation, found their greatest ally in Freemasonry, analyzed in its origins, mythical and historical, in its development and in its manifestations, from the French Revolution to the Carbonari movements and the birth of socialism and communism. Behind Freemasonry, whose organization and rituality are described, however, there are the Jews, always the target of the publications produced by Saint-André, pseudonym of the priest Emmanuel Chabauty, journalist of the first French anti-Semitic periodical, L'Anti-Sémitique. If Freemasonry is therefore the occult responsible for countless plots, the aim of the Jewish component of the movement is to destroy Christianity and bring the Jews back to Palestine, a project that anticipates in a negative way the birth of Herzl's Zionist movement that will see the light only in 1897 at the First Zionist Congress. It is Satan who works through these movements and these people (the Jew Karl Marx...) to reconstitute the Kingdom of the Antichrist, as indicated by the interpretations of the prophecies of the Apocalypse.
