Baroque Style Chest of Drawers - Italy Mid-20th Century

Italy, XX Century

Deco chest of drawers in walnut and walnut burl, sides and front with two curved doors, inside three drawers veneered in mahogany with maple fillets and hidden handles, turned and carved uprights culminating with a floral composition as in the uprights of the shelf supporting the central mirror. Turned and carved feet, truncated cone. Italy, second quarter of the 20th century.

France, Late XIX Century

Louis XVI chest of drawers in mahogany, rosewood veneer, maple and ebonized maple fillets, oak interior. Curved front with three tripartite drawers, rounded uprights, curved feet and apron. Gilded bronze applications, escutcheons and handles, old stain marble top. France, late 19th century.

Italy, Early XIX Century

Antique Directoire chest of drawers, made of solid walnut, has uprights with truncated pyramid feet, three drawers on the front, of which the smallest is under the top. Poplar interior. The Directoire cabinet, with its simplicity of form and quality of materials that make it elegant without being demanding, lends itself to being inserted in very modern contexts.

Empire walnut chest of drawers, front with four drawers, the first of which projects, turned half-column uprights, with carved and gilded capitals and bases, plinth feet. Flush brass escutcheons, burnished lion handles. Italy, early 19th century.

Lombardy, Late XVIII Century

Neoclassical chest of drawers in fir veneered in walnut and olive, rosewood and mahogany fillets, maple leaf inlays. Front with three drawers, truncated pyramidal feet, handles and escutcheons replaced. Lombardy, late 18th century.

Lombardy, Early XIX Century

Empire chest of drawers in walnut and walnut crotch, front with four drawers of which the first is projecting, turned columns with capitals and bases in chiseled and gilded bronze. Plinth feet, top in grey Bardiglio marble. Lombardy, early 19th century.

Mid XVIII Century

Chest of drawers in fir and poplar veneered in walnut. Front with four drawers, upper surface divided into two parts, bracket feet. Handles and escutcheons replaced, has some missing parts. Northern Europe, mid-18th century.

France, Mid XIX Century

Chest of drawers in fir and poplar, veneered in rosewood. Wavy front with three drawers, Spanish paper (gouging covered in brass-plated sheet metal) on the uprights and crosspieces, handles and locks in gilded bronze. Marble top, breccia. France, mid-19th century.

Lombardy, Mid XVIII Century

Walnut chest of drawers, front with four drawers with baroque maple inlays and fillets, sides with low-relief carvings and ebonized moldings, shaped apron resting on the floor. Replaced hardware and locks. Lombardy, mid-18th century.

France, Late XIX Century

Louis XV style chest of drawers in oak and poplar. Veneered in bois de rose and embellished with floral motif inlays and maple fillets. Front with two drawers, wavy apron, appliques, handles and escutcheons in chiseled and gilded bronze. Top in breccia. France, late 19th century.

Eastern Europe, Early XIX Century

Sideboard of Eastern European production, supported by plinth feet supporting uprights in the shape of tapered pilasters to frame a pair of retractable doors, the internal chest of drawers is missing; in the undercounter band there is a central drawer flanked by two pairs of overlapping drawers. In walnut, it is decorated with threads and inlays in maple and various essences, marble top; pine interior.

France, First Half XX Century

Mahogany tallboy, France first half of the 20th century. Recessed marble top, seven drawer front, grooved uprights, spinning top front feet. Entirely adorned with golden sheet metal frames and profiles. Oak interior.
