Console in mahogany and Louis Philippe mahogany slab with raised tilting mirror, Naples mid-19th century. Shaped white marble top, drawer in the band, legs connected by cross-piece. Richly carved with rocaille-style motifs, including curls, shells and leaf elements. Poplar interior.

Piacenza, Late XVIII Century

Neoclassical center desk in walnut, Piacenza, last quarter of the 18th century. Top in solid walnut inlaid with mahogany veneered and maple threaded fret. Drawer in the band, the latter decorated with frames, roughened truncated cone legs ending with spherical feet. Walnut and fir interior. Frame of one of the short sides missing.

Lombard extendable table, supported by turned legs. In walnut, extensions are missing.

Baroque style desk supported by wavy legs, has two pairs of side drawers on the front and a large central drawer. Veneered in mahogany with bois de rose threads, it is adorned with gilded bronze shoes and applications.

Chest of drawers supported by column uprights resting on turned feet, has a lower shelf and three drawers placed in the shaped under-counter band. Mahogany veneer, it is adorned with marqueterie decorations; There are also gilded bronze frames and feet.

France, Late XIX Century

Napoleon III side table in marquetterie exotic wood and bois de violette, France, late 19th century. Upper surface equipped with a removable glass tray and connected to the lower surface by wavy uprights. Entirely decorated with finely chiseled gilded bronzes, used to make the edge of the tops, the handles and the classic-style applications depicting corncucopias, leafy and floral elements, ribbons and masks. The goat-shaped shoes are also in gilded bronze. Restored.

Lombardy Early 18th Century

Baroque console table in basswood, Lombardy Early 18th century. Marbled molded top, shaped under-top band and uprights, connecting crosspieces. The richly carved console table has reserves, phytomorphic and floral decorations, leafy and “C”-shaped volutes, curls and frets; in the upper part of the uprights mirrored leafy volutes support lambrequins. In the center of the underside band we find a basket containing flowers and plant branches, while just below, in the center of the transom, is a basket containing a fruit and leaves, set within an architecture of volutes with crowned cyma. Replaced top, restorations. This console table is a fine example testifying to the influence of French taste on Lombard Baroque.

Table supported by moving legs connected by a cross-shaped crosspiece adorned with a central pinnacle element. In walnut, it is decorated with Umbertine-style carvings.

Emilia Romagna, XVIII Century

Baroque coffee table supported by wavy legs, in walnut, the top is decorated with phytomorphic maple inlays. The mechanism that allowed the opening was blocked and modified, transforming it into a fixed table.

Tuscany Third Quarter XVIII Century

Openable game table in English Baroque taste, open finished, veneered in walnut and striped walnut, Tuscany third quarter of the 18th century. Shaped openable top threaded in maple, equipped with green cloth insert, drawer in the band. Supported by five wavy legs with golf club-shaped feet, one of which can be opened like a compass to support the open surface. Poplar interior. Handle replaced.

19th Century / 1801 - 1900

Elegant console supported by wavy front legs finely carved with lion face and feline paws lean on a mixtilineal base. Band with cherry drawer divided into compartments. Framed Bariglio Marble countertop. It has a tilting mirror with octagonal grooved frame holded by finely carved curnucopias. Mahogany pedulle slabbed. Shows the influence of the workshops of the cabinetmaker Peters.

19th Century / 1801 - 1900

Two George IV screen poles, supported by 3 curved legs, on which stands a refined baluster engaged with the pole that ends in a vase-shaped element. Two shield-shaped panels are fixed by rings and screws, so that their height can be adjusted. Made of citronnier, painted with phytomorphic motifs, the screens have embroidered fabric inserts. While in the 19th century pole screens had an ornamental function, in the 18th century they were used to shield the face from the direct heat of the fire, which could generate dangerous toxic reactions with white lead cosmetics (basic lead carbonate), widely used at the time by both men and women. The adjustable height allowed them to be customised according to the needs of the user, positioning them as a screen between their face and the fireplace.
