Apparentemente legato al nome di uno dei suoi proprietari, il senatore Giovanni Angelo Salvatico, il palazzo ha rivelato di contenere vicende precedenti, bene occultate, che parlano di contesti importanti ma sfuggenti.

Una rilettura storico-critica" di Federico Foce, esaminano alcuni aspetti della storia delle costruzione voltata in muratura e prendono in considerazione testi ormai celebri e altri del tutto ignorati, nell'intento di offrire revisioni critiche e nuove chiavi di lettura per i problemi connessi alla meccanica degli archi e al rapporto tra meccanica e stereotomia.

Justifiably know as the Golden Age, this was one of the most intensely creative periods of artistic activity the world has ever known.
