Italy, Mid XIX Century

Walnut wardrobe. The front features two tripartite doors with walnut burl panels applied as later embellishments. The uprights are carved, as are the plinth feet. Italy, mid-19th century.

Mahogany veneered wardrobe. Paneled front doors with ebony and maple trim and oak inserts. Onion legs, fir interior. Italy, early 20th century.

Venice, Early XX Century

Venetian Baroque-style lacquered and painted wardrobe. Four-door front, two of which are projecting central doors, and three drawers at the base. The cornice, door moldings, and central drawer, as well as the feet, are carved with scrolls and leaves, floral arrangements, and scroll and curl frames, painted across the entire surface. Bronze handles and escutcheons, minor losses. Venice, early 20th century.

20th Century / 1901 - 2000

Art Deco wardrobe in walnut and bois de rose veneer. Three-door front, the central one with beveled mirrors and a pair of drawers inside. Rounded side uprights culminating in a carved pine cone. Curved feet. Bronze handles with concealed locks. Some missing parts. Italy, second quarter of the 20th century.

Art Nouveau oak wardrobe. The main element features a beveled mirror door and a carved floral and leaf motif, flanked by six stacked drawers and an open compartment with a black marble top. Fir interior. Italy, early 20th century.

Italy, Late XIX Century

Baroque-style lacquered and painted wardrobe. Front with a pair of paneled doors painted with a lady and knight, large drawer in the base with a pair of painted panels depicting fruit baskets, also repeated on the sides, surmounted by winged cherubs. Interior composed of two separate compartments, a shelf, and a coat hanger. Italy, late 19th century.

Baroque-style lacquered and painted wardrobe. Front with a pair of doors and uprights painted with leafy motifs and scrolls. Bracketed legs, interior with five shelves. Italy, 20th century.

Italy, XX Century

Baroque style wardrobe made with a pair of antique fir doors. Completely lacquered and painted on the front with a coat of arms representing the Mantua Houses of Count Luigi Donesmondi (1733-1808) and his wife Marchioness Aurelia Cavriani. Interior divided into two compartments with five shelves. Lateral bracket feet and a double central bracket. Italy, 20th Century.

Italy, Late XIX Century

Three-door wardrobe from the late 19th century with a central mirror door; made of walnut and poplar wood, walnut veneered on the inside and completely veneered in mahogany on the outside where some panels are ebonized. The central body with the mirrored door is slightly protruding and has the typical "carabiniere hat" cymatium. Turned feet, shelves and drawers inside.

Late Baroque walnut wardrobe, tripartite front with doors and beveled mirrors. Scroll and leaf carvings on the base band and on the top, openwork cymatium with rocaille carvings and flowers. Wavy feet, cherry interior. Italy, late 19th century.

Inlaid cabinet

Wardrobe with one door and a drawer. It appears architecturally as a plinth with a rectangular base on vase-like feet and marked on the top with a light frame. To break the architectural balance there are two twisted all round columns siding the door made with a big framed mercury mirror. The entire surface is made with rosewood with Brazilian rosewood reserves and refined inlays of "antemi" and spirals that are repeated on the framing bands of the reserves; on the top frame is inlaid a Greek fret; the inlaid frame of the door marks the mirror with a finely inlaid and gilded moulding. Light maple frames interrupt the ones made with rosewood and Brazilian rosewood while there is gold in the inlay of the door but also in the bronzes that complete the bases and the capitals of the columns and in the locks. The lock is marked F.Vago in Milan.
