The role of light in architecture extends well beyond practical requirements. Light can create an environment, saturate a space with emotion, and compose spatial illusions. When manipulated in the right ways, light makes an architectural space livable, shapes it, and guides the inhabitant through it. La collezione Bellini-Pezzoli si forma a Milano dagli anni Sessanta del Novecento indirizzandosi verso l'opera di artisti contemporanei - sia italiani che stranieri - che hanno scelto il vetro come medium espressivo. In catalogo, oltre a manufatti appartenenti a una produzione in serie di altissimo livello, pezzi unici di artisti del vetro quali i veneziani Silvano Rubino, Michele Burato, Luciano Vistosi o il giapponese Yoichi Ohira, che interpreta il mondo del vetro muranese alla luce della sua formazione orientale. Particolare attenzione viene riservata al muranese Lino Tagliapietra, oramai oggetto di unanime riconoscimento internazionale. Infine sono presenti opere dello statunitense Studio Glass (artisti quali Dale Chihuly, Richard Marquis, Toots Zynsky) oltre a quelle di Clara Belfrage e Tim Edwards provenienti dall'Australia.
