Description
Walnut-stained oak drop-leaf chest, richly carved on the front with floral, leafy, and arched motifs. The drop-leaf chest conceals an internal cabinet with three stepped drawers on the sides, five drawers and open compartments in the center, and a sliding top with a secret compartment underneath. The front has five drawers with bronze handles and escutcheons, and bracket feet. Some losses and restorations. The locks have been replaced. Northern Europe, 19th century.
