Thanks to this, we can check whether the outfit we've chosen suits us; use handheld mirrors for going to work, going out in the evening with friends, going to the theater, for a weekend walk or any other occasion. Another room where framed mirrors are often used is the bathroom, especially functional for applying makeup. At the entrance, they are mainly placed to give a last check before leaving. They are also frequently used in hallways to create light and reflection effects, making the space less gloomy. In these last two areas, framed mirrors are usually placed above a console table and combined with a wall lamp to provide better lighting. Mirrors can have many shapes and be made of various materials. Depending on the room, you’ll need to choose the right mirror frame shape. They can be tall and narrow, round, square, wide or slim. Antique mirrors
Antique mirrors were born in Venice, more precisely in Murano. The first models were made of a glass plate combined with a sheet of tin dipped in mercury. Austria and Italy were the largest producers of antique mirrors and founded the first guilds. In the 17th century, the idea of the antique mirror changed: from a simple functional object, it became an integral part of the furnishings. Its purpose was to reflect light and the room's image. The main concept in the 1600s was to create a beautiful room rather than a functional one. For this reason, antique mirrors became overmantels, door toppers, wall decorations, or were made smaller to reflect candlelight. They were highly appreciated, especially by the Sun King, who was so fascinated by mirrors that he created an entire room dedicated to them: the Hall of Mirrors. Antique mirrors are among the most appreciated antique furnishings today. Thanks to them, you can decorate your rooms elegantly and tastefully. The most sought-after gilded antique mirrors are French, Roman, or Venetian. They were usually made using gilded or lacquered wood. In our catalogue you’ll find:
- - Large Antique Mirrors
- - Wall-Mounted Antique Mirrors
- - 19th Century Antique Mirrors
- - Gilded Antique Mirrors

and much more. Choose from many shapes and materials. It’s impossible not to find the Perfect Mirror for Your Home.
