Italy, Early XIX Century

Empire period free-standing mirror, Milan, early 19th century. The mirror, completely veneered in mahogany feather, has a finely chiseled bronze frame, gilded with shiny and opaque parts, which surrounds the mercury mirror. In the upper frame there are bronze applications, two very fine rosettes on the sides with small chiseled oak leaves with bells and the central anthemium motif. The construction is made of walnut. This quality of bronzes in Milan in those years is only found in the Manfredini factory.

Vienna, Late XVIII Century

Carved and gilded wooden clock. On a large rectangular base, two statues with female figures, a cherub and a mythological figure rest on the two extreme sides. In the center, two sphinxes support the clock with an enameled metal dial with Arabic numeral hours. The clock is surmounted by a vase overflowing with vine shoots that outline the perimeter of the case.

A Neoclassical late 18th Century lacquered wood wall table with truncated pyramid legs and carved shelves. Frames decorated with leaves, lion head, oak leaves roses. Macchiavecchia marble top. Gilded and lacquered. Manufactured in Northern Italy (Lombardia).

Antique Baroque Lantern Holders Gilded Wood Italy XVIII Century Pair of lantern holders with iron structure and carved and gilded wooden body. An expression of fully baroque taste, the arms are moved in an "S" shape, while the wooden essence is carved with characteristic flower and leaf motifs that curl. The floral corollas at the ends of the arms hide the hook that originally held the lantern holding chain.

Paris, Late XIX Century

Vase holder tripod in gilded bronze and Sèvres ceramic, modeled after Pierre Gouthière. Circular base in cobalt blue Sèvres porcelain, with golden decorations on the top and wreath of myrtle leaves on the band; underneath three feet in gilded bronze with a spiral motif support the whole thing. The three bronze goat feet rest on the surface with an upside-down pine cone in the centre; the tripod is contained by a band decorated with frets in the lower part, the uprights end with faun heads characterized by a long beard and ram's horns, connected to each other by festoons of vine leaves and bunches of grapes. In the centre, descending from above following a spiral trajectory, is the figure of a snake with a body covered in scales and a wide open mouth. On the top it has a second pine cone element, opposite to the first, surmounted by a tuft of leaves arranged in a radial pattern and by a vase holder plate, the latter embellished with a fret and ending with a perforated railing element with an everted edge. These elements, originally separated by a Sèvres porcelain vase missing here, were superimposed and fixed together at a later stage. The base features the Sèvres manufacturing mark.

Florence, Mid XVIII Century

Baroque console in carved and gilded wood with top in Siena's marble, Florence, mid-18th century. Supported by four wavy legs connected to each other by a central crosspiece, the console is decorated with curl carvings, "C" shaped volutes and rocaille, leafy and floral elements, the latter placed in the band under the top. Restorations on the floor.

Tuscany, England Mid 19th century

Circular top in various essences of marble, with polychrome checkerboard in the center; the marble is framed in a rosewood support, supported by a central turned baluster resting on three shaped and fluted feet.

Naples Third Quarter XVIII Century

Neapolitan Rococo chest of drawers, supported by curved feet, the under-the-top band is curved as well; on the curved front, it features two drawers with retractable chain. Quadripartite veneered wood, with double borders set at 45° degrees, the same motif is proposed in the reserves on the sides. The two drawers are decorated with a central inlay with a poly-lobed threading with a bouquet of flowers inside, inhabited by a parrot. The shaped top is in red breccia marble from the Appennini; the handles is bronzy and bronze appliqués are used on the feet, on the upper part of the uprights and in the centre of the frontal apron.

Kingdom of the Two Sicilies First Quarter 19th Century

Gueridon supported by three uprights carved with lion feet and in the upper part with caryatids, to support the undertop band. The female figures are standing, dressed according to the Egyptian taste: they wear a low-cut dress that leaves the breasts uncovered, tightened at the waist by a belt, they wear bracelets and necklaces, while the hair is styled according to the Egyptian taste, with braids that fall neatly on the shoulders. These figures are partly ebonized, to make the skin, while the clothes and details are gilded. The legs are connected by a platform in the shape of a concave triangle. The circular top is in alabaster, enclosed within a cherry veneered frame.

19th Century / 1801 - 1900

French Napoleon III center bookcase, supported by wavy legs, the lower band on both the front and sides is shaped; on the front it has two doors finished with fake books, with applied leather ribs, so as to simulate an open bookcase. In the upper part there is an open compartment and an upper tray shelf. The etagere has a similar shape, but in the central compartment there are various shelves placed at different heights. Interior in mahogany, they are veneered in bois de rose, with a 45 ° cut and quadripartite on the tops; the furniture is decorated with gilded bronzes and worked with leafy volutes, in the shoes, on the uprights, on the lower band and in the side handles.

England First Quarter XIX Century

Pair of tripods supported by saber-shaped uprights with lion feet, are connected by a small hexagonal shelf in the lower part; above, they frame a top that is also hexagonal, with a high band adorned with rosette carvings, also re-proposed on the top of the uprights. Rosewood.

Milan, 1750 ca.

Pair of lamp holders in carved pine wood, lacquered white and partially gilded, supported by a cylindrical rod. Composed of large opposing "C" volutes, they are carved with curls and leaf motifs, embellished with a flowering branch that descends from the upper corolla, a support for the candle. Above the two lights there is a perforated and gilded sheet iron plate.

18th Century / 1701 - 1800

Venetian baroque console supported by wavy legs, the apron on the front and sides is carved with characteristic rocaille motifs. In walnut, the shaped top is in alabaster with a border in black marble and white Botticino.

Rome, Late XVIII Century

Walnut trumeau completely veneered in bois de violette, fillets and phytomorphic inlays in maple, on the entire surface. Base with three drawers with a wavy front, pierced and carved pilasters with a curling movement, two placed on the front uprights at 45 degrees and another four halfway up the sides where the piece of furniture widens through a constructive leavening. Drop-leaf door, concealing a cabinet with a pair of lateral drawers surmounted and a central open compartment, secret in the sliding top. Upper part with a pair of mercury mirror doors and two lamp-holder drawers underneath, internal castle composed of three drawers and open compartments, cymatium with a carved scroll molding. The carved parts of the piece of furniture, frames and curls are ebonized, the feet end in a shelf at the front. Interior of the drawers in poplar. Antique escutcheons in chiseled and gilded bronze. Restoration. Rome, second quarter of the 18th century.

Pair of five-flame candelabra in embossed and chiseled silver. Base supported by feral-shaped feet alternating with fan-shaped decoration. Fluted column shaft culminating in a Corinthian capital and arms with leafy scrolls. Silver hallmarks incised on the upper part of the base. 3300 grams.

Italy, Late XVIII Century

Neoclassical bedside table, late 18th century, Lombardy. The piece of furniture is veneered in citronnier, maple, boxwood and other light woods for the inlays; both the front where the door is housed and the sides are made with a lowered central panel in citronnier, with an octagonal reserve in the centre enclosed by a moulded and inlaid frame; the reserves on a maple background have an architectural inlay with capricci, temples, statues and figures. The panels are inserted in a double frame with a brass-plated frame and citronnier veneer arranged head-on and in a herringbone pattern. An inlaid frame in the base delimits the four truncated pyramid feet and another supports the top in which a top in green alps marble is set. Missing parts and restorations, walnut interior. The piece of furniture is similar to the production of Giovanni Maffezzoli although it does not reach the quality of the Cremonese master in inlay.
